About Us

Located in the heart of Antiques Capital USA, Stamford Connecticut, is The Antique and Artisan Center, a sprawling 22,000 square foot “galleria” filled with jewelry, antiques and designer accessories from all over the world. Created by Mark Candido and Ronald Louis, their well-received and respected antique center is now approaching its 14th year at 69 Jefferson Street in Stamford Connecticut. Many regular visitors consider it the ultimate in choice and style for themselves and their clients. Their roster of hand-selected antique dealers and designers stock their open ‘vignettes' with furniture and accessories of the 19th and 20th century, retro-modern, and classic Deco to French and Italian 40’s “High-Style” while others feature architectural and garden elements, period lighting, glass, silver and porcelain. Please visit in person to experience it first hand or shop our website 24 hours a day. Inventory changes constantly and is always fresh and clean. AAC has been featured in AD, the New York Times, Country Living (Best Antique Center in the USA), Veranda, Metropolitan Home, House Beautiful, Connecticut Cottages and Gardens Martha Stewart Living television and countless others.

DECORATING MUST-HAVES
8 Decorating Necessities
by Ron Scinto, Co-Owner The A&A Center
  1. Quality Lamps and Lamp Shades-whether they're Venetian glass, Lucite, or Porcelain- a fine lamp sets the tone.  New lamp shades update a room immediately.
  2. Mirrors-Antique "quality" reflect the style of your room.
  3. Books- Explore your interests and lets friends know your passion.  Literature, Fashion, Photography, Art, Decorating?
  4. Framed Pictures-Children, Pets, Friends and Family Celebrations.
  5. Pillows-Invites all to sit and relax.
  6. Vacation and "Friendship" Souveniers- a clam shell? or a snow globe?- keeps the memories present.
  7. Extra "comfortable" seating- benches and ottomans for when "company" is over.
  8. Drink Tables- a place for someone to set their refreshment on is always appreciated.
Agree or Disagree?  Let me know your 8 Decorating Necessities...
